Soccer Update – 27th December 2015

Nottingham Forest were unlucky not to take all three points at home to Leeds United in the only game in England played today. The Reds took the lead after Matt Mills took advantage of some poor Leeds defending to set up Nelson Oliveira to score and Forest held despite having less of the ball to go in ahead at half time.

With Forest looking strong in defence they were looking good for the points until Sam Byram struck from 25 yard with 10 minutes left to equalise. An end to end finish ensued as both sides went for the winner, substitute Oliver Burke came closest hitting the post. The game ended a draw which in truth was not much help to either side in their attempts to get back into the play-off mix.
