Tranmere Rovers made it two wins out of two with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Barrow. Debutant Andy Cook put Rovers in the lead and the points were sealed by a penalty from James Norwood with his third goal in the opening two games. Chester scored an excellent win at home to Dagenham & Redbridge. Elliott Durrell scored with a 25 yard volley to open the scoring and Tom Shaw made it two before the break. James Alabi headed home a third in the second half to complete a very impressive win.
Southport are already struggling with a second consecutive 3-0 defeat against Gateshead. Danny Johnson gave Gateshead the lead and two late goals from Wes York and Mitch Brundle gave the scoreline a more accurate look given the balance of the game. Gateshead have won two out of two and are in second place.

Queen Of The South produced a fantastic second half display to win at Premier League Hibernian at Easter Road. Paul Hanlon scored for Hibs to give them the lead at the break and they should have had more in a first half they dominated.The game turned when two substitues combined with Dean Brotherston setting up Stephen Dobbie to equalise. Brotherston was provider again for Grant Anderson to put the Doonhammers in the lead with Lyndon Dykes adding a third to secure the upset and take Queens into the last eight.
