AFC Championship Game – Pittsburgh @ New England
Brady to return to the Superbowl at 38
A near faultless performance from veteran Quarterback Tom Brady helped New England to a straight forward victory against Pittsburgh. Brady threw for a franchise post season record 384 yards and three touchdowns with New England executing perfect protection of the ball and the clock to ease to victory. Pittsburgh were not helped by injury to star running back L’Von Bell and replacement Deangelo Williams was kept to 34 yards. Brady was able to hit Chris Hogan again and again who had 12 receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns. This was just a game too far for Pittsburgh as Brady will look for his fifth NFL title and head coach Bill Belichick will coach his seventh Superbowl, an NFL record. It’s tough to bet against this machine taking another title in two weeks time in Houston.

NFC Championship Game – Green Bay @ Atlanta
Super Ryan sees the Georgia Dome off in style
Atlanta Quarterback Matt Ryan produced a stunning performance which saw the Falcons blow away Green Bay 44-21. Ryan threw for 392 yards and four touchdowns and even went in for a rushing touchdown himself. Wide receiver Julio Jones also had a big day with 180 yards and two touchdowns. The defence did their part getting an early interception from in form Aaron Rodgers and shutting him down early on. He did throw three touchdowns in the second half but by then it was far too late as Atlanta shut out Green Bay in the first half to lead 24-0. This will be the last ever game in the Georgia Dome as the Falcons move to a new stadium next season. This was a farewell Matt Ryan and Atlanta’s loyal fans will never forget. They have never won a Superbowl, can Ryan do it against the master defensive schemes of Bill Belichick and those Patriots in two weeks time to end the drought?
